While I was basking in sunshine in New Hampshire, New York has been having record rainfall so everything that loves wet and cool weather has been growing out of control and bursting open. So we have peonies,peas- very early (but sooo delicious)and poppies. However the latter were very short lived as these storms have been torrential and knocked the papery flowers down.
In bee news, we added another set of frames for them to fill last Friday, June 12.The Monday before I left June 1, we moved the frames around so the bottom set would get filled up. They had filled one side but not the other and rather than assume they would skip back over the full frames to the empty ones, we took the empty ones out and slid the full ones to one side. Then we replaced the empty so they could keep filling up the frames going in the same direction.
