Garden- March 2

March 2- After the snow and ice had finally melted, and we were enjoying the sight of muddy earth and leaves again, we are in the midst of a March blizzard. This is the day my father died 46 years ago. As I sit blogging in front of the woodstove underneath his portrait, I think of him working in the garden in his faded grey corduroy coat or sitting on the couch by our fireplace reading a book and drinking his sherry. He is more like a character out of a book I read and loved long ago. It is troublesome that I can't remember which book. It is a day for staying inside and knitting and drinking tea. I just discovered a group called cuppatea and here is a quote from that site.

Come along inside….We’ll see if tea and buns can make the world a better place ~Kenneth Grahame, The Wind In The Willows
